150 credits taken from my account!
#1
I can't believe it. On Friday I had a very long session via direct cam with a member using the name shak123. Today I log into my account to find the money for that session has been taken back from my account. Iv had no emails about it or anything. Anyone else had problems like this or with shak123? I'm livid here.

Not with him no, but I have with someone else and it sucks. What does it say on your credit report for that session?

It shows the credits going onto my statement and the 2 days later it shows that it has been debited saying manual escrow. I have the whole chat log saved if that's any good but I don't know if it will be. I can't believe AW didn't even email me about it. They haven't even credited me with the facility fee for the show.

Name and shame on Twitter and everywhere you can. There are usually lists of thieves and other idiots like this on popular camming forums (there's one here in the private section), you should add his name to these. You can also keep emailing aw till you get a satisfactory answer x

I had an issue along these lines, all you can do is name and shame the guy, just as Katie said Sad it's a risk us ladies take... as far as I know the direct chargebacks are usually because of stolen card claims.

Hi I'm sorry to hear that that's really crap! how are they able to take your credits is it the clients on there? I don't understand how they do that? It's very worrying.

Well what happened was that I did a long cam session via directcam. Adultwork then decided that the client may not have been the owner of the card that was used. They took the credits back from my account, without warning or notice, and put the credits into an escrow account. I was told that they would not refund the credits unless the client sent them proof of ID (ID and a utility bill). When asked what will happen if he does not provide them with the ID, they told me that the money will be refunded to the card it came from. Basically, there is no incentive for the client to do so and instead an incentive not to.

Well, a couple of weeks later, the client in question came into my chatroom and kept on trying to put me back into another paid session. At this point I had assumed that he had pulled a scam on me. In free chat I told him about the credits being taken and told him I would not do another session with him until he had given AW the proof they wanted. He then told me that he had done this the day they contacted him which was the day after our cam session.

I contacted adultwork asking about the credits and the released the credits back to me the next day.

I went to mail the client to say sorry for the inconvenience etc but he had either deleted himself from the site off the back of this or blocked me. He would of been a good regular to have but it seems AW aren't bothered about that.

If I hadn't of spoken to him and emailed them then I recon that they would not have credited the money back to me.

Before I spoke to him in free and I saw that he was active on the site and attempting to do sessions with me, I mailed adultwork about it with a full explanation and all they did was send me a link to their help section about how to block someone.

The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and my trust in AW has gone down alot.

If they had of taken the time to notify me of what was happening, instead of keeping me in the dark, and had they not palmed me off and held my credits away from me for so long, then I wouldn't have had a problem with them. I know that people try to pull scams and that they have to try to protect themselves. All they have to do is treat the service providers with a bit of respect and common decency. It's not alot to ask.

It's going through things like this that makes me so appreciative of people like the daily pay people, who are helpful, polite and respectful. I don't even really need to be paid daily now, but I stay with them because I know that they are so polite and helpful with issues that may not even really concern them directly. The being paid daily is just a perk.

I've had a similar issue - very long chat with someone (they spent 250), a week later the credits vanished from my account with no contact from AW. When I contacted them they eventually replied and said they suspected it was credit card fraud, but what they didn't realise is that I knew the person and had been having bookings with him for 10 years - there was no way it was credit card fraud. He also confirmed he had no idea what was going on, he hadn't problems with his card and no refunds. It looked to me like AW just do this occasionally, claim credit card fraud and take a chunk of credits back for no reason other than extra profit. It made me lose trust in them completely. I'm sorry I don't have advice for you, we (service providers) have very little power where AW is concerned - they have so many providers they don't seem to worry about screwing us over as they know we don't have a leg to stand on.

AW is as far as I'm aware the best site out there of its kind. I do agree that us service providers could do with having some more support from the AW owners , however I have always found them helpful and prompt when ever I have had any issues . It does seem random though some providers on here blatantly break the terms of use yet seem to forever get away with it where as those who do everything by the book often get issued with warnings

just the way it goes I guess
