So long as I'm getting paid then I don't mind what people call me, in fact I actually laugh at people who try to make themselves sound 'more upperclass' by calling themselves an escort or courtesan - that one really makes me kink ............... half of them don't know the 'correct' meaning of the word. I agree - call yourself whatever you feel comfortable with...

Just for me personally - some terms have a negative connotation while others dont. But yes I understand some girls don't have that feeling and just call a spade, a spade.

I personally feel these words have a hugely negative connotation... I believe there is a small distinction between a prostitute and an escort... But then in the end I guess it's all much of a muchness...
