I have bid on 3 and won 2 but what I will say is the ones that i bid on where in my area and were willing to pay what I actually charge I would not bid on one that did not totally fit with what I do and what i charge, there are some totally ridiculous ones on there what is it with the man who wants to pay really dont get it and do the foreign holidays ever happen

Ive only rrecently found this section of the site, and last time i looked it was filled with mostly shared content and silly low prices.

Nice to have your opinion Emily Smile

RE: Reverse Bookings - English Kate - 08-06-2011

I've bid on 3 or 4. I've had contact back from all, won 2 and got mucked about by one who had bid for someone to go to the cinema with him. He was Cheltenham based. He kept going on about being shy and needing to meet me first. At one point despite my instincts I agreed that he could come to mine for a cuppa, but after saying he was coming over all morning I delayed on answering one message and he said he was driving directly home. Needless to say I was fuming and no longer trusted him, so it never happened. I think he was a timewaster.

It can be quite good, especially if you are at a loose end anyway, so I would not knock it, but yes some of the requests make your toes curl and the rates they are willing to pay are ridiculous. It can be a good laugh just to read.

It has to said that the Reverse bookings are not what they used to be. A few years ago I won many lucrative reverse bookings but nowadays its more like a bargin basement. I guess its a lot to do with the recession.
I still bid occasionally but only on the good ones but never seem to get even an email back. You never really know if they do go ahead or not.
