How about this for an idea when a new person joins there user name is displayed at the bottom of the front page what if we send them a pm welcoming them here and saying that we hope they join in it might make them feel more welcome and comfortable in posting if they see as being instantly welcoming

If we all did that it might be a bit overwhelming though? They might think we are touting for business? What about having a designated welcomer per month? Spread the joy around lol.
