This thread is inspired by a discussion elsewhere after a well known punting forum thought it would be a good idea to start a list of wgs who worked alone.

So as a wg have you ever been asked this question and how have you responded, are there any circumstances/reasons that validate the question and have you ever met with someone who has asked it.

As a punter have you ever asked the question for a completely innocent reason and what response have you got, if you write on forums has another punter ever asked you this question about a wg you've seen and how have you dealt with that.

And finally your thoughts on the creation of such a list without the consent of those mentioned on it.

Not really much of an imput from yourself is there, is ukfella you or maybe your brother? he started a post without much input of his own.

What are your thoughts on the matter? I know, you already expressed them on the other post, you think anybody that does say they work alone is naive, unfortunately, when you created the new topic, you failed to answer the questions I raised on the other one or add your own opinion to this one.

It would be foolish for any female to really express their thoughts on the matter, if they disagree, as if they are negative I am sure the other forum will delight in the fact that what they have done, has upsets others, as that appears to be the general mentality of that forum.

Personally I really do not care if they list me or not, but you have not indicated the reason for this list or shared any reaction, from their other forum members, to it.

Are you still a member? i forget... If so have you expressed any thoughts to them, and what was the reaction? Or if you are not, what is your interest in what they do or don't do?

How did you know ukfella was my brother, is it really that obvious. He's the good looking one but an idiot I'm the brains of the family.

Of the two of us you are the only one who has ever been a member of UK Punting, I certainly considered joining a couple of years back but before committing to any website involving adult subjects I do a bit of research and found issues surrounding UK Punting that I was not comfortable with and didn't join up, I do read reviews from those members who's opinions I value and there are sometimes some excellent threads on matters punting related. I am a member of other punting forums and I am virtual friends with several UK Punting members who belong to those forums as well, by and large they approve of my posts on the UK punting thread here because I have exposed fakes etc and drawn attention to some of the more unpleasant aspects of the site, they can't do this on the site itself because they would be banned.

The thread on UK Punting was started by a newbie I think and he did subsequently explain that he was asking the question because he didn't like any disturbance during his visits, was he telling the truth, could anybody really be so naive that they couldn't see the question had sinister overtones and even if they really had asked the question in all innocence could they not see how it could be used for other purposes. The reaction of most other members was similar to my own, it's a bad idea and no list should be created, unfortunately Admin backed the thread and that meant members could not now challenge it.

Should I ignore the silly/nasty stuff on that site or any other, most of it yes but some things should be commented on, as I pointed out on that other thread some of the nastiest posts/threads were only deleted after being mentioned elsewhere, the UK Punting thread has been used as a counter point long before I came to this forum.

DO YOU WORK ALONE ?, not a question I or any other punter I chat to would ever ask it just makes me think of Scary Movie, if I was genuinely put off by noise outside the room I would simply tell the wg that and ask for a bit of peace and quite during my time with her. Your suggestion that it might just be someone looking for a threesome doesn't really stack up, surely they would just ask if you had a friend who could join you, that's what I would do as I could never see the phrase "do you work alone" passing my lips.

I take your point about wgs not wanting to comment, they could actually be telling people they worked alone by doing so of course (OK I'm an occasional idiot) but I was really just trying to gauge reaction to the question itself, does it immediately start alarm bells ringing or would you still consider seeing that person. You've given us your answer but your more experienced and more confident than most and may feel you can deal with any eventuality, I doubt all wgs see it that way and suspect that most would not see the person even if they offered a reason for the question.

If only all punters were as smart as you, you really do try and give them far too much credit. I have already had 4 guys, this morning, ask me for my postcode yet it is clearly displayed on my profile. One did not make a booking as I would not text him the postcode.

A "newbie" punter is naive for asking the question

A WG is naive to mention that she works alone

And why do you see it as such a sinister question? You do not say.

When I first started working I worked on my own in a flat for about 4 years, how naive must I have been... Now you have enlightened me I feel I should seek counselling.

Now who's being silly. No you were not naive to work alone many do of course but it would have been naive to advertise the fact. I've had a quick look through my AW HL and the funny thing is none of the women on it have something like.....DON'T WORRY IF YOUR A NERVOUS PUNTER OR YOU FIND NOISE DISTURBING BECAUSE I WORK ALONE, JUST LITTLE ME. Why would it be naive, who was it telling me just the other day about all the weirdos you have to deal with and of course it's still a cash based business so knowing your alone would be an advantage to anyone out to rob you.

There is a possibility that the OP of that thread really didn't think about what he was asking he did sound apologetic in later posts and most of the other members who commented told him it was not a good idea, I mentioned before that I discussed this with other punters and none of us would add a name to such a list. Why did the Admin on UK Punting want the list ?, not for the benefit of punters that's for sure, in his mind it could probably be another way of intimidating wgs the focus of his hate, and I know I'm right in saying that no other punting forum that I'm aware of would even think about having such a list.
Why don't you join UKP and voice your comments? Rather than "policing" them from afar.

They don't much like real punters.
Anyway don't change the subject, I took the issue away from that thread forget about that site for a moment we're talking about whether or not it's a good idea for a wg to tell someone she works alone or for punters to ever mention that when talking about wgs on any forum.
I don't mind being asked really. When I was an escort I would get asked quite regularly and I would tell them the truth. Since I made the change over to being a dominatrix I hardly ever get asked which is a bit random. Whether I'm alone or not has always depended on where I'm working that day and if my other half is in or not, so it changes regularly.

I have to admit that I certainly wouldn't be comfortable with being on a list of escorts that are alone. It's a little too convenient for the guys that are up to no good to target us.

Of course working in a job like this there are risks, but they're risks that you have to take into account and just try your best to minimise that risk. To tell a client that you are alone isn't naive, to think that there isn't a risk is naive.
