Document number is the long driver number on your licence. It usually has letters in it also, and marked as number 5 on your licence (maybe different on yours - mine is provivional) and usually has some letters from your surname at the start.
Either there was something blocking the number from being seen on the photo, or you either typed it wrong or didn't type it in the bit where you enter your name etc when you upload it.
