I just don't seem to be making as much money as girls online often say they are. I worked it out and I only made like 1000 in 2 weeks, I don't understand why. I'm in Liverpool, so it makes sense that I'd get less up here than the London girls but I would imagine it should be more than this.
I'm charging 160 per hour, 100 for half and 50 for 15. That's pretty standard right?
I'm definitely not unattractive or overweight.
Is there something I'm missing?
I feel like I'm struggling every day to even pay my basic rent and bills and every day necessities, something I thought would never be the case when working this job.
I've been trying to do webcam modeling but you need a laptop and it's taking me ages to save up the money to even buy a laptop.
Does anyone have any tips?
How long have you been working for? If you have only been going for 2 weeks then don't panic. You will build up a regular fan base and then you should start making more.

Also, as with any self employed job, business fluctuates alot. So one week you could make £150, the next make £1500 and then the next make £400. It's a bit random that way.

Only tips i have is to keep profiles looking fresh, new pics etc and to always look for other places to advertise.

Hi Itstiffany,

I would echo what Pixie has said.

Your income does fluctuate when you're self employed. Don't give up when the money isn't coming in as normal. Use the time to work out what worked and what didn't work. Try new ways to market yourself.

I've always said the way to succeed in business is to work hard.

And, don't forget if it was easy everybody would be doing it!

Good luck.

Hi Tiffany,

£150-160 would be the going rate up north.

Do you have a link to your AW Profile or a website you can show me? you can DM me in private so I can see what you look like and see what your profile looks like.

Photos are very important, do not just go to any photographer down the road, if you want to earn BIG money I suggest you go to a proper Escort Photographer if you want decent photos of yourself. In that line of work, men will take you more seriously and you will have more bookings. The best ones are in London, I can dm you with some links they are expensive but you will certainly get more bookings with better photos.

Last Friday people went away with their families, I would say 50% went away especially where I live, it was so quiet and nice for a change! It will be Easter this Sunday 16th April so children are off from school and if men have children they will spend time with their families going out etc. So it will have a impact on your income.

If you do Webcam it will give you a steady income as well as doing Escorting as your main job. It will top up your income big time if you do both. Buy a second hand laptop/ refurbished laptop and buy a cheap Logitech webcam from ebay.

Hi Babes,

I saw your post and thought I'd share some thoughts which I hope you'll find helpful.

I've been on AW for coming on 3 years now and think that in that time i've become very successful as an escort/content provider.

I know your post is specifically about camming but the principles that I've applied to become successful in what I'm doing can be applied to what you're doing too.

I started this line of work while at uni where I studied business and marketing and immediately applied what I was learning in a practical way to what I was doing.

Tips:

1. Create a brand - You have to differentiate yourself from all over girls
2. Cultivate a reputation - This is related to tip 1 above. You have to be known for: a) Reliability b) Trustworthiness c) Quality
3. Advertise - You might be the most beautiful girl in the world but if not a lot of people know that then it's not much good to you in this line of work. There's a lot of competition out there and you need to be "seen to be believed"
4. Product Deals - Like it or not you're a product (in the nicest possible way). Every major product in the world, from pepsi to pepperoni do deals on their products. Have you thought about deals you can do?
5. Fan Base - You'll always get the drop bys but to be successful you have to develop a fan base. These are loyal customers who will come back to you again and again. They will be your bread and butter.

I could go on but those are a 5 basic tips which should get you on the right track.

The point is you have to start thinking about yourself and what you do as a business.

if you just rock up with a laptop, switch on your webcam and sit back waiting chances are you're not going to do that well.

Best of luck.
Speaking as a client of escorts, £150 per hour is pretty much my upper limit, and I'd usually only pay that much for a well-established escort with an excellent reputation, or one who really stands out from the crowd in some way.

It sounds to me as if you're pricing yourself out of the market. A typical price for a newbie would be closer to £100-£120 per hour, depending on various factors. At least around here (the southwest), but I imagine it would be similar in most places outside London.

Use your price as a means of controlling demand. Generally speaking, the less you charge, the more money you will make (within reason), but obviously you'll be making less per booking and putting more hours in.
