Totally agree with you and if she felt that way then she should put it on her profile, so the guy should not have to really ask, but it does not hurt to if you are unsure or the nervous type.

In answer to the original post, every girl has her own boundaries. The ones I talk to have less of a problem seeing an older man than a younger one. As for the reasons, they are individual, but some feel we older gents have more respect. Not true for all I know, there are assholes in every demographic, just what I've been told from a small group
