Q. on blacklisting a punter
#1
An escort of my acquaintance is having some farly serious issues with a punter who simply won't take NO! for an answer. He is insisting on "bareback" when her profile clearly states that this is not an option.

This punter is using "bully boy" tactics in an attempt to get her to change her mind (she won't).

"I'm a moderator on AW and will get your account blocked".
Yeah? Sending direct emails (not through the site) from a mail.com email address? I don't think so...

Leaving feedback (proving he is actually an AW member, I think?) :-
"Dispute that may be added to Adultwork forums with emails from [escort's name here]".

Problem is - we can't block him. He even created a booking, despite being told repeatedly that he wouldn't be getting his BB. Unfortunately the escort deleted the booking before adding him to her blacklist.

There would now appear to be no way to blacklist him unless he either books again or sends an email via the site (the only ways I am personally aware of to add to a blacklist). However, I'm a punter, not a provider, so I don't know what extra features a provider has (over and above those of a punter).

Any help or advice (other than don't delete the booking next time Tongue) gratefully received. We did try going through the Help to contact AW directly but ended up at the usual "read this help item on blocking emails" - which doesn't actually help with this specific question (on blacklists).

Note. Obviously I can provide the specific Escort's name / ID but would prefer not doing so in public. The punter might well be searching THIS site in case a question is asked, hence why I've not mentioned any names.

If he has left feedback then she can block him by clicking on his name to get to his profile and block him there.

The best thing she can do is not respond to him at all. No matter what he says just completly ignore him. If he should leave nasty feedback then she can contact adultwork to have them remove the feedback.

He will get bored in the end and move onto some other poor lass.

Hi Pixie, thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately we already tried that. Emails&Bookings > My Feedback - no user name is clickable on there. If they have any ratings then the rating number IS clickable and the user name in the resulting window is also clickable. Sadly he has 0 ratings (we suspect he signed up just to be a pain) so all we get is a window saying there's no ratings, so we still can't get to his profile.

Hopefully he will, as you suggest, go and torment someone else (well, hopefully not, but you know what I mean). In the meantime I'll get her to just ignore him unless the f/back is particularly bad.

Thanks Smile

My suggestion would be to keep all the correspondence with him as proof, if will be necessary later on when contacting AW to inform them about this guy or any other site where he might write a negative review, or even when contacting Police is the situation worsens.

Good luck.

Hi Annabelle - thanks for posting.

Unfortunately she got so pi$$ed off with him she deleted everything so there's nothing to keep Sad
[edit] Correction. Moved to another folder, not deleted, so she does have them. [/edit]

I've already suggested she keeps anything further as proof. If he does post anything through AW it will give her the opportunity to blacklist him, which is what she wants to do (but can't, at present).

Is he switching off his profile?

My experience is that whilst there can be genuine reasons for doing so, most SS who do so are just messing around. I'd keep an eye out for him reactivating, then jump in and block. She also needs to block everything - there's a whole list of blockable activities, all have to be selected.

Tell your friend to block him manually.
From Emails and bookings- Blocked senders (on the right side)- a new pop up window will show-Add by nickname (the best is to block his Aw id which can be found in the ratings window)-then tick all 3 boxes then update.

Its not that hard as it seems Smile
Good luck xx

Apologies for not responding sooner - not getting email notifications since Annabelle posted. Not sure why...

@Strawberryblonde
I would agree that constantly switching a profile on/off is suspect to say the least. I'll inform her of your suggestion.
Thanks Smile

@hotblondie28
Unfortunately, being a seeker, I don't get that option. Search > Manage Blacklist has no popup window, or at least I can't see one Sad As above I'll pass along the information.
Thanks for responding Smile

Quick note of thanks to all who responded to this thread.

The Escort in question has now managed to block the offending punter - apparently he has a multitude of aliases and is still trying (but now failing miserably, as he deserves) to contact her.
