STI's - Oral sex
#1
There are many ways to catch a STD, but I have to agree with Maria here: working girls check their health more often than regular girls, so you can decrease your chances by picking someone reliable. But then, the best protection is a visit at My Porn Bible. Visit website to learn more about action scenes and stay safe!

FFS! This porn spam is getting tedious...

But to the OP, yes, you can get Chlamydia and gonorrhoea orally. Any good sex worker will have oral/throat swabs as part of her regular checks. You would reduce any risk by only doing OW.

As I said on the rimming thread it's risk versus reward, selling/paying for sex comes with potential health risks you are the only person who can decide whether it's worth it for you.

Yes there is a small risk, it is much smaller than unprotected intercourse.

I offer OWO and I have throat swabs every time I visit the GUM clinic. Over 5+ years of being paid for my services I have never tested positive, that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

A well established SP who doesn't see many clients because of her working arrangements reported contracting an STI in her throat and every since that experience no longer offers OWO. She also reported that there was no rhyme or reason rule for those who did or didn't catch it from her.

So you have to be in contact with a person who has it, then have to be unlucky enough to contract it your own self.

The level of risk you accept is your choice.

As an SP I respect the personal safety decisions of my clients, however I do not like it when a client is so pre-occupied that it gets in the way of being relaxed. Behaviour such as not letting your skin touch, holding the condom right down with the hand at all times, no foreplay combined with not kissing makes sex very clinical.

On the first two occasions that I payed for sex many years ago now I avoided OWO and RO but this so spoiled my enjoyment of the experience I had a decision to make, either give up my new hobby because I was worried about the risks or put the risks in perspective and fully enjoy the experience, I decided to carry on and have not regretted it. You should not be blase about the risks but you cant be paranoid either.

I have been a punter for as long as I can remember and I have tried different working girls who provided different services and I love every second of it. But just as the other members have pointed out there is always a risk of getting STDs when having sex with working girls since they meet a lot of men and women whom they have been very intimate with and we can't really tell if they have something on them or what. However, the reason you are punting is because you want to experience something other people will never have a chance to do and the reason you are here is not because you want other people to tell you what to do, rather you want to have sex with working girls and try things you never will with a regular gal. Do what you must and enjoy it while it last.

I forgot to add.
Those STI's that you can get from oral sex. Are usually easily treatable.

Unless you've had some really massively bad luck and get something bad.

I do get myself checked over here in England every 3 months.
I also did this when I worked in Belgium.
But there I had a little book that I had to take with me when I was working and when I was getting my test results.

In this book (that doesn't show any private information) they'll write down if all your tests were negative.
If you had a positive it'll show and for what you tested positive and the treatment that you received.

Customers were able to ask me for this and then decide if they'd like to continue the date or not.
A shame that England doesn't seem to have these little books.

Oddly enough I never had anyone asking me for it.
Also girls don't use it as an extra sale point.

But now that I'm here in England I do miss it.

So is this little book compulsory for sex workers in Belgium or just a voluntary scheme.

I am sure, like most things, the principle of the idea is good but getting it to work in real life is a hassle, there will be girls that are happy to continue working even though they have something and they will obtain fake health cards.

Who would "police" the scheme to make it work? I am sure it would then need to attract some type of licence fee to pay for the inspection squads.

You would need to be registered as a sex worker / prostitute and I am sure many girls do not wish to have that label on their health record.

Interesting that Maria says that no punter ever asked to see this book.
