I'm a non-nude Domme and I have never ever switch My free cam on. It is ALWAYS freeloaders, if they want to know what you look like/more about you, its all on your profile! That's what it's there for. I used to not even do Group either because they just want to session with Me for a cheaper price but if they do come into Group and start getting into session mode or want cam2cam, I tell them to come back into Private as Group chat means My attention is divided by whoever else joins in.

If you are a nude/toys/masturbation model, you could keep the explicit stuff to Private only. In Group, maybe topless only or implied nude, if they want to see the hard stuff they have to pay your PVT price and keep it one on one.

It's really up to you but yeah, I wouldn't bother with free at all and if you do, be polite, ignore the freeloaders and explain to them that if they want your attention and to play with you, they have to pay.

Having good lighting is key too. They are pretty cheap off Amazon or at Midas, just youtube (home photography studio lighting) and you can see quick, easy and cheap set ups and yes, invest in a Logitech webcam

I am about to sort out my lighting, not too difficult with lamps I already have. It's not that bad now but I have to have my room pretty bright, if I get the right lighting I can dim it and then it will be more flattering

I don't ever go in free, I tired it a few times and yeah, they were pretty much just total cheapskates. I hadn't thought about using it to bump my profile up to the front page though, might do that on slower nights! I find really late at night I can earn more - ie after pub kick out time have you tried staying on that late before?

Pandora is a strange one though, she charges ridiculous prices and has men falling over themselves to get at her haha. I sent her a message once warning her of something on her profile which was against the rules (she put available in her summary) and she sent a very rude message back to me.

I have found that signing up to twitter has made a huge difference to the number of views of my profile and also the number of guys adding me to their hotllist, which means they get notified the minute I log on.
I am also verified and have some items for sale, these don't make me much money in themselves, but attracts more attention for my profile.
The time of day you upload photos and blogs etc to your profile makes a big difference, when you add a new blog or photos you appear in the recently added feed which punters see as they log in, but if you do it at a really quiet time of day, by the time most guys log in then you are off the feed.
Make sure you update the tagline on your Directcam settings too, maybe say what you are wearing if you are dressed up, specially if in stockings etc.
Make each session last longer, I try to aim for at least 40mins per session, don't always manage it but have had some over 4hrs long with same guy. Ask them lots of questions, find out loads about them, don't put out too fast, take it slowly, with my main session last night I didn't even take my shoes off for 20mins, boobs out after 30mins and almost an hour before I flashed my arse and took anything else off.
I don't do sound in group but do in pvt (well sometimes, last night I wasn't in the mood so dropped my pvt rates to reflect no sound). If typing don't type too quickly.
Hope that helps a little, I am a newbie to this too and not on cam often, but I spend quite a lot of time when I can trying to make sure I have plenty of interest so when I log on so far I have been lucky and am always busy when I go on (but I realise my lucky streak may run out).

I do have a question about sound though, I have always had mine on in Skype, but originally not on Directcam, do you find you make more money with sound on? Most of my big spenders are happy to text chat, it slows things down a lot so makes sessions last longer, now I have got used to not having it on I am worried about going back to it. With sound I charge more per minute, and I know some things will be a lot easier as I don't need to type so can move around better, but that could shorten sessions a lot. Any tips for sound?
