Ripped off by an escort, how do i complain, any help please.

Hi,
I was ripped off on news years eve by an escort from the site. Basically an outcall was booked,she turned up on time,payment on arrival £300.She made an excuse of going out to see the driver and never returned! Yep i feel pretty stupid but thats the reality of it. Could anyone advise me on what action to take.

I would strongly recommend that you go to the police.

Other than that, there is nothing you can do I don't think?

AW are unlikely to take any action because like it or not, this is only an accusation, and accusations like this are thrown around by disgruntled guys all the time in order to discredit girls who they've taken a dislike to or have a grudge against.

If it is true, then you should go to the police. They won't tell your wife and if the girl is already known to them, then your evidence may (or may not) be what they need in order to take some action against her. Very often they need multiple complaints against the same girl before they feel they can build a case strong enough to take to court.

Also, you can leave feedback to warn other punters. If the booking wasn't made through the AW booking system, or wasn't flagged as "completed" by the escort, you can't give her a negative rating - but you can still leave a feedback message.

...Which other punters can read (if they bother to click on the little number by hrr name...always do this before booking an escort, even if the number is zero], unless she has her feedback hidden. Sensible punters won't book an escort with hidden feedback (unless maybe she's a member of a group containing more reputable members).

I was under the impression you always need to have submitted a booking request in order to leave any sort of comment, feedback or comment.

Correct but your sentence started "If the booking wasn't made through the AW booking system, or..........." made it sound as if you could place feedback-only without using the system ie without submitting a booking request.

...Yeah, sorry, should have been more specific. If he wants to do this, he should know how: by making a fake booking on the AW booking system, then leaving feedback for it.

...Well, yes, but the feedback system is there to allow clients to pass endorsements, criticisms and (if necessary) warnings to other clients. Some will abuse it, but on the whole it's a good system.

If the escort is genuine and has positive feedback from others, an unjustified slur from a random nutter won't matter (I've seen responses such as "I have no idea who this wanker is, I never met him"). In choosing who to believe, I look at the escort's othet feedback, and also at the other feedback the client has (if any).

It seems unlikely that a genuine escort (one who has actually met other clients) would try this scam. It doesn't net her any more cash than if she actually went ahead with the booking, so it only appeals to those with an aversion to sex. Unless maybe she only wants sex with handsome[ guys, and decided the client was too ugly/old/fat/creepy... but then why take his money? A genuine escort wouln't need it that much.

This is the bit that gets me, often the time put into this would be just as well spent providing the service, they'd get the same amount of cash and not put themselves at risk of arrest, or angry punter returning for revenge.

I can only imagine this sort of rip off is orchestrated by a jealous controlling boyfriend, unhappy his lady is having, or would have sex with other men but who still wants the cash she can bring in.
