VERY IMPORTANT

There is nothing anybody can do to prevent people losing money and scammers will always find a way to get money, if not through AW through other payment systems such as Paypal.

When dealing with somebody like kdb with over 3,000 good feedbacks your risk is very minimal, if you are paying money to a new profile with no feedback then you are taking a 100% risk

There is nothing you can do. It's only a verbal contract they have broken, you gave them the money they didn't take it from you..

It's possible to see that some new escorts (who will have no feedback) may worry about the risks involved and think a deposit is a way of getting only credible bookings.

There are risks being an escort and there are risks being a punter. Unfortunately the government are always more motivated in criminalising our industry than making it more formal/legit. The escort took your deposit and didn't show up is a bit like saying you paid your dealer for 100g but when you checked later it was only 90g... Trading Standards aren't likely to mount an investigation...

Are there lot of scams going on? Probably but it always comes down to common sense at the end of the day, something horny men lack the majority of the time making you easy targets.

Stay wise, pay attention and you wont get scammed.

Th same goes to escorts, we get wise, we pay attentions, we spot most timewasters a mile away!

Stop Escorting Summer 2013 so Book while you still can!

Doesn't it say in the T&C's somewhere that you cannot accept payment via adultwork for escort services? or words to that affect. It would be useful if we had a section where we verified girls with feedback can request deposits from new clients or clients without feedback which we otherwise may not accept bookings from. I was going to actually do that on my profile but thought better of it after reading T&Cs... Just saying Smile

I think it does

Girls used to be able to do that but it was stopped, this may be a legal issue that they can not get around due to the nature of escort bookings. So I doubt it will ever be introduced again.

Scamming of this sort is a common practise, not just in the escorting world. I come across this in my business and the same rules apply. If someone is reputable and has great feedback, the risk element is minimal to zero. No feedback - don't do it. Girls who indulge in this know well that the punter is highly unlikely to go to law via the Small Claims Court, so they are on safe ground. If a girl is expected to travel a distance on an outcall, she is reasonably entitled to a deposit, and if I asked a girl whom I know to do same, I would offer a deposit.
