I didn't ever think the content was downloadable so you could keep it... ?!

It used to be you purchased, clicked the video format button, and it downloaded. Certain formats triggered the browser's built in player but it was still downloaded and could be saved (simple right click -> Save As). Other videos just download normally and prompted you to save them. I usually downloaded right away, so I'm not sure of the 24 hrs limit. It's certainly not 24 hrs now.

The recent changes use the AW web player to stream so there are no downloads or saving available, and the video is essentially rented for 15 minutes, and you'd need a decent BB connection if the video is streaming in HD (until content providers get around to using HEVC/H265 for video encoding). It just sounded looking at the thread that this change wasn't mentioned anywhere as one possible input to falling content sales for videos. I suppose there's an element of opportunity lost here - it's unlikely folk will spend much time to search for the video on another site where downloads are typical. Most models don't advertise their other video hosting sites or use the same names on them.

This is an interesting thread, by itself it was enough to encourage me to join the Forum.  Together with my partner, "Jizz_Miester" who has worked in the Adult Market for around 25 years, we've had light-weight profiles on AW whilst we've accumalated content "in the can" and we have noticed a string of changes to AW's positioning, some of which may only suit them.

The rapid growth in the use of "smartie-phones" is making a lot of necessary changes to how one operates but, much worse, the raft of UK Legislature that will attempt to censor "on-line adult material" in the coming years is seemingly approaching with all the sublety of an express train bearing down on a blind person ambling along the tracks towards it . . wake up peeps, it's here, it's now and it will have an effect!  AW know this and over two years ago commenced bringing in changes but they then took their foot off the accelerator as other non-UK web-sites made no changes . . so all the "good housekeeping" they commenced went to ruin as many greedy service providers flooded their "public gallery" - not to mention their home page pix - with images that even AW themselves deem liable to a suspension in membership.  Even took it up with them as I really didn't think they were promoting a lvel playing field . . their answer?  Nothing to do with them as the profiles mentioned has clicked the "self verification" box.  Jeez, when the "Amendments to the Digital Economy Bill" kick in it'll be AW itself that will be outlawed from using the Internet within the UK and NOT the individual service providers!

But what does this have to do with the thread?  Pertinant for several points.  First one has already been mentioned, why would a punter buy your private images when he can jack off perusing somebody's free gallery?  Once locked into that profile who do you think he'll buy clips from?  AW need to be more respectful to those who want to work with the system!  Second one is some of the unannounced changes they've made, halfing the minimum pricing requirement for clips bandwidth, not updating JustCamIt but instead developing their own product for streaming to mobiles and that so wonderfully labelled "Free View" . . as a service provider I've nt seen anywhere you can "opt out" of that!

Something the jury is still out on is whether AdultWork are restructering their business to survive the forthcoming changes in sexual offences, they might be aiming to do so and pass the "old ATVOD test" of "not being TV like" for, though most thought ATVOD had it's teeth pulled it came back with vengence as the "DEB".

. . . but lastly if you're still confused then blame it on BREXIT which may actually be the first down turn in the economy that won't start a buying spree for instant sexual gratification, all the previous downturns did.   Confused

Well we're now down to 80% less than what we was earning in August 2017... we were bringing in close to £5000 then, and now struggling to get to a £1000... February has been abysmal ! Adult Work still saying nothing has changed, infact they say every thing they have done should of increased sales...

We're getting more traffic yet earning 20% of what we were... so I can only think this is shit automated traffic... I've spoke to 2 big popular webcam girls, and they have both told me how much they are losing in earnings from what they were earning... someone somewhere is telling fibs... or making a shit load of money... Almost not worth being on there, certainly the time and effort we're having to put in to make a pittance isn't worth it...

1. Main page of the app is now full of eye candy, guys see that so they have no need to dig about looking for other service providers, think like a punter and check it for yourself.
2. Home page desktop site features doesn't get you promoted on the app
3. Escort/Phone/Webcam/Alt/SMS section daily feature doesn't get you promoted on the app
4. Hourly phone features doesn't get you promoted on the app

If 50% of site traffic is now on the app and gets distracted by the 1st page eye candy the guys will spend their credits there, site income will be the same so AW can say there's not been any drop in income.

I've got the added bonus of being one of AW's TS girls and we're being excluded from a lot of the app site too, a nice thank you from them for paying 7 days a week for features!

hi thanks for this info. If this is the case, how do we get featured on the app? it's only just crossed my mind that that place is different to the website. Makes sense

Honestly it gets worse... I can't believe how bad it is... We make now in a week, what we used to earn in a day... gives you no motivation to put the time and effort in... and AW don't give a flying shit... in theory we're getting the same if not more traffic... we've even launched a AW page on our new traffic site https://www.slutbank.com/adultwork/ and are busily pumping traffic through the site... But still the numbers drop...
