What's your average weekly pay on AW?
#1
Hi all!

I am a new cam girl and have a question about average weekly earnings on AW.

I know that each day and week varies for everyone, however, I am asking generally as I am a 19 years old university student studying finance and have been offered a part-time white-collar that would pay quite well. I am considering whether I should stick with AW, if my future potential earning will increase the more I cam, or accept this job offer.

I usually make minimum 1050 credits (roughly £735 after all the fees have been deducted) a week and could make more if I work for longer hours (basically if I work all day and all night). Is it true that the longer you cam, the more you earn (I know some women who have been on AW for 10 years or longer) or do guys eventually get bored of you and your earnings start to plateau?

Please share your advice / own experience if possible.

Thank you so much!

P.S. My intention of this post is not to brag or for comparison to make myself feel better or worse, it's simply to help me make a decision as to whether I should stick with AW for the long-term or just accept a "normal" job.

I have not made anywhere near that amount yet, however I would advise taking the white collar job whilst you can - camming will always be there. Could you cam in spare time?

I've been offered an internship in finance in London so it is a great opportunity for me. The only downside is that it is regular hours and that means I wouldn't really have any time left to cam (maybe one or two hours, but I'm sure I'd be exhausted after a whole day). It's a hard decision because I enjoy cam as I can be at home and work whenever I want, but I also do need to think about my long-term career plan...

Thank you so much for your response though, you're right as in cam won't go anywhere...

The word I consider most important is 'opportunity', my belief is that life is about taking opportunities.

You say you are a "new" cam girl, there is always a "new" cam girl high, guys like someone new, earnings can be fantastic, but, this typically lasts a few weeks, maybe a month or so, then you're just one the thousands of cam girls who have to work hard to build up your regulars and keep them.

If I were you I would take the job, absolutely 100% take the job. A well paid career, especially in this current climate is something to grab with both hands. Cam is great, but it is not reliable, no sex work is. As Strawberryblonde says camming will always be there and while your work is only part time that would leave you to hop on cam as and when.
You also need to consider what would happen if your friend, family, future employers/future partners were to find out. It can have long term devastating effects. Remember everything you do and say on cam can be recorded and put out for the world to see. I'm sure you have already considered this but I feel it is worth repeating for anyone one else reading.

Thank you for your response so far. It does help me think about things more!

A little backstory; I started cam roughly in October, however, haven't really focused on it 100% until these past few months. 3 months ago I worked my socks off, day and night, and managed to make roughly 12k credits or so (£8.5k after fees & AW deductions) in one month. The most I have made in one day is roughly around £1k. As I mentioned in my original post, I haven't failed to make at least £750 a week so far if I just work normal hours everyday. Mind, I also work during my periods.

The thing about my internship offer is that, if successful, I would be guaranteed a graduate job in accounting. I'd most likely have to work 9am until 6pm and would be very stressed. Maybe I could make more than I do on cam in the long-term (the starting salary is mid 20k and increases annually) and there is great opportunity for expansion, however, is the stress and working long hours at the office (with someone bossying you around) really worth it?

Should I take advantage of cam now, whilst I am young and my body still serves me, and once it no longer pays well or I am unhappy, then get a "normal" job, or should I just focus on my finance career now? I would still graduate with an Economics & Finance degree and I could fall on that to help me get a basic job, once I can no longer cam? But, I have also seen many women who are older who work on AW so I don't see why I would be limited by age in any way.

Similarly, my parents, my partner and close family know what I do and are supportive of me, which helps tonnes! Cam doesn't really affect me mentally and I only have a handful of trusting friends, therefore I am not worried about my reputation getting tarnished. I have tough skin anyway.

Is there a reason you stuck with cam and have you experienced working a normal job and switching from or back to cam? Please share if you have experience of both working and cam and which one you chose and why. Maybe I am being naive or blind-sighted...

I was an Escort until CV-19, I took up cam after trying to get back into my other skill freelance but it wasn't taking off. I have experienece of retraining and working, I didn't put the sex work down and there came a point at which it was impossible and unethical to continue with both. Being faced with 2 passions, only one which paid I put down the other work. Of course when CV-19 came along I wondered if I'd made the wrong decision, I put some effort in getting that back first but no avail although I've got myself into a position where taking on that type of work if it comes up is now possible.

Based on my experience I would say get the experience in the other job, I didn't use my degree because I finished uni with serious issues more interested in partying, drink and drugs. That degree did allow me to go into the retraining, but if I could go back I would use the degree. This doesn't mean I don't enjoy sex work, and it's taught me a lot about running a business, being self-employed, marketing etc and it's used some skills from the workplaces I have been in. The bigger the gap the more explaining or lying you may have to do, employers will discriminate I have had it done to me - even during retraining which was just tiring and pretty awful. Some of whom knew I had gone out of my way.

This isn't to say you can't have a career in cam, sex work and earn enough to retire on early - it's just life doesn't always work out as you plan. When I was your age I thought I'd have x,y,z by the time I was 30, at 30 I was in a very different situation.

Can be drink, drugs, partner or anything totally random.

If I could go back I would have taken a vocational qualification in accounting, probably AAT combined with a job then gone on to accountancy training. I'm very good with numbers, still can be - this was a strong point both at school then at uni the first time. Of course I might still have turned into problem drinker, in fact the signs were already there so can't predict!

I won't lie, these past few weeks have been quite dead for me. Not sure if it's my performance or Covid. Sad

Still getting by but much harder now.

But yes, it is possible to live off cam! Takes a lot of hard work though.

But still getting by the minimum each week!

It is possible if you work hard.
Its not just you I've seen a dip this month compared to September. I'm hoping its just the changing of covid rules I.e tiers that's causing it.
Just thought I would message  so you know you're not the only one  Heart
