Webcam/directcam on tablet, which tablet to get - Chelsea - 22-01-2015
Hi
My laptop broke so I need to get a new one, as I travel a lot I want to get a tablet, can I use Directcam with a tablet?
What's the best tablet to buy with good webcam quality?

You'll have to use the online version at videochat.tv. I used it fine with an IPad x

Hi Katie
How do u use just chat.tv from your iPad?
I've tried it using different flash applications but can not get onto it
I used Pufin & Photon but the camera will not open in them
I've also read some other posts saying you can't cam from iPads
Please can you tell me exactly how you do it? Which application/ website do u use to access it
Is your iPad jail broken?

That's what I've been trying to do but when I get to the log in page it says no cam detected even though my cam on iPad works for Skype etc, do u use a external cam or the built in iPad camera?
I don't know why but it won't detect my camera so I can't log in due to there being no camera detected

I have found an external cam works best. Do you have adobe flash player installed? http://adobe.com search for downloads and find flash player. You should be able to right click the screen and choose settings, the flash box should come up and let you chose which audio and cam to use.

I'm trying it from my iPad & you can't get Adobe flash on iPad

I don't have an ipad, I just use the online version of justcamit. Sorry I can't help you there.
