dress code - sophieofyork - 09-05-2011

now, when i go to see a client i like to dress as i would for work or socialising, ensuring i have something more appropriate underneath... i think if i'm wearing casual clothes i draw less attention and then i'm more relaxed to meet my client. I find most gentlemen request or appreciate this for discretional reasons.

i did however have a request for a gent to pick me up at tesco's in a latex dress and thigh high boots... not quite so inconspicuous. (i declined this offer for this very reason)

what is the general consensus on dressing to impress and how far would you go to meet a client's request??

i like just a dress or skirt & top, so i kind of blend in

My personal discretion comes before his needs every time. I guess if I am on tour then I may be a little more lenient, but then I don't tend to do outcalls on tour. Pretty pointless paying for accomodation, if you are just going to leave it.

I tend to wear my black wrap around dress for outcalls with knee high boots. I have put an underbust corset on underneath, but it's not easy to drive in, or breath for that matter when sat down.

i think if i was a driver then i would take more risks...after all people only see your top half... however as a mere pedestrian/public transport/taxi user i don't like to show too much of anything.

i'm glad it's not just me that find these tesco type requests a little odd!

It's not just odd it is destructive. You are trying to run a business with discretion for the sake of your other clients if not for yourself and that kind of request is very selfish.

Thrill seekers of the 'I want to be caught out or look at me' type need not apply!

I guess having a teenage son makes me even more adament, but you did the right thing, as the last thing you need is for people to start talking about you, least not in that way.

well as i'm sure you're aware it's tough enough just being a scarletan! (yes i did just make that up, i couldn't think of the right words to use!) let alone parading round like a circus act :S

I am very tempted to express my thoughts on my preference here, but as I ask the lady to wear what is normal "casual" mode for the appointment, then I shall refrain lol...................

I don't have any sexy jeans, I don't have the right figure for them. I do however, have the right figure for the fishnet stockings Wink
