Quick question about Direct IM - heavenly-sky - 08-07-2012
Hi,
I provide Direct IM, but i would like to know if it is possible to show video with this feature ?
i do not do webcam as i guess this is a feature where clients expect the providers to put on a show which i am not able to do at present, but i do however sometimes have clients that would like to see who they are speaking to which i would not mind.

That would be directcam if using the justcamit software, and then all the problems of guys coming in expecting a show regardless of how clear you make it in your strapline and on your profile.
Others may have some better ideas but how about setting up an MSN or skype or yahoo account in your AW name and they can either book a session with you using the prebooked webcam option (they can do this without you being online and saves getting guys booking thinking they'll get a show if you keep it offline) or have directim running while you log onto msn/skype/yahoo.
I suspect they'll be hoping for a show even if it's just on the basis of only seeing you while you chat, so be wary of feedback showing their frustration if you do just stick to chat. This is exactly how I started camming...guys in IM persuading me to cam but in my case I was just needing the confidence to do it so for me it was helpful.
