It wasn't the decor that got me so much as the packed lunch 'breakfast' -- in a £300/night room. As the (magnificent) Mrs Polizzi succinctly put it, "this is taking the piss".

It'd just got to the bit where she tries to get him to do a schedule and he refuses saying the staff can look at the diary. Did she say "Yes, cos you're doing so fucking well at the moment" or words to that effect?! My laptop went into melt down then, so will have to catch it on the telly.
Bum.

Yes she did and I love her for it lol. She is shockingly direct and I sooo wish I was more like her. I do love these inspector type programmes.

Having watched some of the programme, I have decided that I wouldnt bother visiting. The food may be good but what a tacky place! I can think of much better ways to spend £300. Ladies????

Did you watch it all the way through? By the end of the programme he had reduced the rates to £100 with a full breakfast and had taken the tack away, but kept the themes.

Such a shame people don't wait for the conclusion before coming to a conclusion.

Hum Kate, I accept the rap on the knuckles in good humour! The problem I had was that I lost my connection which is a frequent problem when not at home, and I couldnt watch such a programme at home without arousing suspicion. Still, thanks for the update and it sounds like the lady inspector did at least do some good!

She was certainly right about one thing when she saw the rooms to start with - if it had been the mid '80's they would have fitted right in - oh so dated now though.

lol oh Monty, you really can't take the Teacher out of the Escort can you? I do seem to rap knuckles on a regular basis, but someones got to do it! lol

I'm glad you see my point though and if you are not able to see th conclusion of something, it is better to enquire if anyone did and what happened, rather than make judgment based on half the knowledge. I would apply that rule to anything. (not necessarily saying I always follow it though).

She is briliant at what she does and what I love about the programme (not sure why you OH would be suspicious about you watching it by the way) is that she has difficulty getting through to some of the people and you can see how exasperated she gets, but she never lets up and she eventually gets her way and they see how she was right all along, but it is human nature to not want to let go and they do have money invested in their places, so it can't be easy to just change.

I love it!

It isnt so much the programme itself it is the fact that we dont watch channel 5 as we cant get it at the moment and she does have issues with me if I watch TV on the computer! Dont ask, it is all rather complicated but shall we say an incident in the past causes such a reaction if I do and leave it at that!!

Sadly this is the last series Ms Polizzi is doing, so I've heard, great shame if its true.
